Overview

Athena Manufacturing, LP is a career-minded company that invests in employees by providing training and opportunities for growth. As a Welder-Level III, you will specialize in welding thin gauge materials for Aerospace and FAI parts, handling critical projects including prototype welding.

Responsibilities

  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Specialize in welding thin gauge materials, extremely tight tolerance welds, complex weldments and parts requiring extensive fixtures and weld jigs.
  • Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
  • Perform any non-conventional welding or cutting: FCAW, Oxy-Fuel cutting or welding/brazing, Plasma Cutting.
  • Check and maintain welding equipment for proper operation, safety and/or perform any needed maintenance.
  • Pass and maintain various welding certifications as necessary.
  • Work with engineers and help establish a Prototype(s).
  • Perform other jobs or functions assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least three (3) years of welding experience.
  • Two (2) years of technical training, continued education.
  • Must own all tools required for the position.

Additional Information

  • Night shift and Weekend shift available.
  • Safety glasses are provided by Athena.
  • Closed toe safety shoes are required.
