Overview

Upper River Services is seeking a Welder to join their team, offering a competitive pay range and a comprehensive benefits package, including a hiring bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Handle and use equipment and tools necessary to prep, weld, and repair barges.
• Assist with barge cleaning as directed.
• Handle lines and rigging to moor barges to docks and other barges.
• Visually inspect tanks for excess water.
• Operate pumps to remove excess water from tanks.
• Operate Company equipment.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work well independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Proficient in stick and wire feed welding preferred.
• Ability to weld in overhead, flat, and/or vertical locations preferred.

Additional Information

• Starting pay is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
• Eight hour days, Monday to Friday.
• Occasional daily overtime and weekend work required.
• Must work outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
