Responsibilities

• Welds metal components and parts using specialized equipment.
• Uses electrical currents to create heat and bond metals.
• Plans work by interpreting blueprints.
• Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality.
• Performs routine work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities.
• Cleans work areas and addresses maintenance-related incidents.
• Troubleshoots and addresses basic repairs including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.
• Orders parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers.
• Records maintenance and repair work performed and associated costs.

Requirements

• 1+ year related experience.
• Beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
• Technical expertise.
• Planning skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Manual dexterity.
