Overview

AFT is looking to expand its Quality department by hiring a Q.A. Inspector who will support the Q.A. Supervisor and Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining the Company’s Quality System to ensure consistent production of quality products.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials, work in process, and finished products for conformance with work orders, blueprints, specifications, and applicable codes or standards.
• Write routine reports, including SPC requirements, and update existing quality records.
• Work with Production to maintain product identification and traceability by monitoring the work order traveler.
• Implement statistical techniques required for verifying the acceptability of the manufacturing process and products.
• Coordinate RMA-MRB activities and assist in the disposition of nonconforming products.
• Audit production, shipping, and other processes to ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Assist Quality Management in source inspection of subcontracted suppliers, audits, quality plans, and customer source inspection.

Requirements

• Read and understand blueprints, including GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
• Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Have a very good understanding of statistical process/quality control.
• Interpret SPC charts to recommend improvements to the manufacturing process.
• Effectively communicate customer requirements and direct/guide personnel.
• Possess interpersonal skills needed to be a team player.
