Responsibilities

• Identify and describe component items used and/or manufactured.
• Read, understand, and manufacture component parts according to production drawings.
• Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on special jigs for manufacturing.
• Safely set up and operate various machinery including milling machines and band saws.
• Inventory processed component parts used and/or manufactured.
• Use and care for measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
• Ability to work in a team environment with diverse individuals.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
• Meet production, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• One to three years of machine shop experience.
• Preferred experience with CNC equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Valmont trained and certified in forklift operation.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety regulations.

Additional Information

• Two shifts available: 1st shift from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm and 2nd shift from 2:45 pm to 12:45 am.
