They are seeking a Shop Supervisor in Houston, TX, responsible for supervising a group of workers and ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a group of workers engaged in one occupation.
• Develop procedures for performance of various duties.
• Inspect work to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Train and assist workers in the performance of their duties.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules.
• Analyze and resolve work-related problems.
• Implement project safety programs.
• May maintain time, production, and other records.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as a Foreman or equivalent.
• TWIC highly preferred.
• Must pass background checks.
• Proficient in supervising welders, fitters, and helpers.
• Understanding of Lock out and Tag out procedures.
• Knowledge of QA/QC audits and record maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of fitting and pulling measurements on piping.
• Knowledgeable on various welding techniques and associated hazards.
• Ability to utilize basic computer programs for reporting.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
• Preferred NCCER craft certifications and leadership certifications.
