Overview

As an Assembler at Alfa Laval, you will play a pivotal role in assembling parts, components, and equipment to meet quality standards. This on-site position in Houston-TX offers the chance to work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components while contributing to the organization's success.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Assist team members in the assembly of mechanical components to defined Engineering tolerances and drawings.
• Wire standard and non-standard electrical assemblies to defined quality levels.
• Pipe standard and non-standard hydraulic assemblies to defined quality levels.
• Test completed assemblies to defined Engineering procedures and correct discrepancies.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks independently.
• Provide feedback to the Team Leader for safety and product improvement.
• Promote the 5S culture through maintenance of tools and organizing a clean work area.
• Receive and follow work instructions from the team leader.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the assembly of mechanical equipment or a similar field.
• Experience with pneumatic and hand tools, basic Engineering drawings, and basic electrical and hydraulic terminology.
