Overview
We are looking for Assembly line workers who will be responsible for assembling HVAC components and finished products in accordance with production schedules, assembly drawings, work orders, and quality standards. This role requires the safe use of hand tools, proper material handling, attention to detail, and adherence to company procedures to ensure products are built accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow work orders, assembly drawings, and production instructions.
- Collect required materials, components, and tools needed to perform assigned work.
- Align, fit, and assemble components and finished products according to specifications.
- Operate basic assembly equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Verify parts and materials prior to assembly to ensure accuracy.
- Complete assigned production tasks while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly handle tools, equipment, and materials.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards to supervision.
- Perform basic quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
- Verify assemblies meet specifications and quality standards.
- Report defects, damaged materials, missing components, or process issues.
- Follow approved work instructions, SOPs, and quality procedures.
- Support rework and corrective actions when necessary.
- Move materials and completed products safely throughout the production area.
- Maintain proper identification and organization of materials and finished goods.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparation for shipment as required.
- Communicate material shortages or production delays to leadership.
- Work cooperatively with fellow assemblers, leads, supervisors, and other departments.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team productivity.
- Communicate issues, concerns, or improvement opportunities promptly.
- Participate in required training and cross-training activities.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic assembly equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Experience in HVAC, sheet metal, or metal fabrication environments.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and work orders.
