Overview

The Mechanic role in Houston, TX is responsible for retrieving vehicles for service or repair to enhance service quality and reduce downtime. The position emphasizes maintaining vehicles to the highest standards for cleanliness and mechanical soundness.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics as needed.
• Perform small repairs and installs with AMR supplied tools.
• Conduct vehicle switches for maintenance and repair.
• Clean ambulances and other field vehicles inside and outside.
• Organize and clean the Fleet shop.
• Check and top off vehicle fluids prior to rig swaps.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Inform Supervisor and Fleet Maintenance of breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Document ambulance condition and schedule preparedness for shift personnel.
• Update crew in service information on computer for equipment tracking.
• Respond to daily phone inquiries from crews for coordination.
• Conduct oneself professionally in accordance with company policies.
• Arrive for duty appropriately groomed and in proper uniform.
• Complete all required company training.
• Adhere to company and information security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some experience in the industry preferred.
• Some mechanical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid State Driver's license.
