Overview

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Mechanic III to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and facilitate repairs of HVAC and refrigeration equipment across the hospital campus. This role is essential for ensuring the functionality of critical systems in a leading healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply HVAC practices throughout the NCMC campus, including repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment.
• Ensure all tasks are completed according to policy, procedure, and relevant codes.
• Participate in and respond to all hospital emergencies as required.
• Cooperate with personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good relations.
• Demonstrate accountability for the functionality of all hospital equipment.
• Assist in enforcing safety policies.
• Demonstrate professional practice and conduct.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities as appropriate.

Requirements

• High School Graduate / GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years on-the-job experience.
• 2 years of experience required.
• Technical training in Engineering or HVAC preferred.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• ACR technician/TDLR registration preferred.
