Overview

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment PM Field Technician (Mechanic) for their rental facility in Pasadena, TX. The role involves providing maintenance and repair for a variety of heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts, with opportunities to work on the newest fleet in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders.
• Track machine service intervals and order parts.
• Diagnose issues using data from various makes and models.
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
• Comfortably use technology such as laptops and tablets.
• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance as required.
• Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Participate in year-round company provided OEM training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 years old.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours.
• On call during the weekend only in special circumstances.
• This is a safety sensitive position and contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen.
