The Customer Product Repair Mechanic is responsible for disassembly, repair, and assembly of various equipment, ensuring quality and compliance with documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow pre-job brief, Return Goods Policies, and checklists prior to DCI and assembly.
  • Independently inspect, repair, and assemble components and equipment, completing all required documentation.
  • Take pictures of the DCI process and clean components for reuse, documenting their condition.
  • Interface with service coordinator, production planners, and customers regarding critical components.
  • Follow all routers and assembly procedures.
  • Inspect components for critical fits and run-outs, documenting measurements.
  • Take pictures of the assembly process as instructed.
  • Use various power and hand tools safely for assembly.
  • Utilize torches and liquid nitrogen safely in the assembly process.
  • Run balance machine for rotating components and assemblies.
  • Conduct low pressure air tests and high-pressure hydrostatic tests.
  • Inspect and verify quality of work with precision measurement tools.
  • Set up and read precision measuring instruments accurately.
  • Work efficiently within fixed time windows for manufacturing processes.
  • Communicate job issues clearly to peers and supervisors.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, engineers, and customers as necessary.
  • Paint, tag, and prep equipment prior to shipment.
  • Utilize cranes, lifting devices, and fork trucks.
  • Provide input on work process improvement and tool development.
  • Work safely and help colleagues work safely.
  • Understand work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
  • Own personal SAE hand tools and measurement instruments.
  • Read and interpret prints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
  • Possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Have electrical wiring or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
