Overview

nVent is seeking entry-level Assemblers/Electronic Wirers to fabricate and assemble electrical systems and support structures, contributing to a more secure world through innovative electrical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures.
• Adjust, repair, or replace component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings and work orders to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
• Connect electrical wiring between components according to the wiring print, specification sheet, and Bill of Material.
• Measure and cut wire to accurate length.
• Mark and tag components for inventory tracking.
• Prepare finished product for shipping by packaging and touching up paint.
• Assist in loading product if required.
• Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain fork truck license if required.
• Able to learn to read tape measure and electrical point-to-point prints.
• Able to read and comprehend somewhat complex instructions.
• Able to write notes or simple correspondence.
• Able to effectively communicate information to coworkers.
