Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble centrifugal pumps per Sulzer repair procedures and customer specifications.
• Perform dimensional inspections of rotating equipment components using precision instruments.
• Set up and execute hydrostatic tests, balance verifications, and clearance checks; document results.
• Coordinate scope confirmation and findings with the Repair Coordinator and Shop Lead.
• Support customer Witness and Hold Points during the repair process.
• Follow Sulzer EHS standards and complete inspection reports and time entries accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant workstation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience repairing rotating equipment, specifically centrifugal pumps.
• Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and basic GD&T callouts.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and dial indicators.
• Working knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, and fits and clearances.
• Comfortable operating overhead cranes and shop forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail in documenting inspection findings and repair work.
• High school diploma, GED, or technical/vocational equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
