Overview

General Steel & Supply Co., a division of Fisher Industries, is seeking Welders to fabricate high-quality aggregate processing equipment. The company emphasizes safety and quality in its operations and has over 70 years of experience in heavy civil construction and aggregate products.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding and fabrication duties
• Assist with checking accuracy and quality of all phases of fabrication
• Operate basic shop equipment, including shear, press, iron worker, etc.
• Practice and enforce company's safety policies
• Read and follow blueprints
• Maintain records and paperwork for all jobs
• Work cooperatively with other employees
• Follow directions of the supervisor
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old
• Welding skills with both stick and wire welders required
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Experience with machining a plus
• Occasional overnight travel required
