Overview

Mid-State Metals LLC is a turn-key contractor specializing in custom fabrication of miscellaneous and architectural metals for the commercial and industrial construction industry. They are seeking skilled Field Welders with 3G/4G certifications and experience in working with miscellaneous metals, emphasizing safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding (SMAW) and other welding techniques on steel, aluminum and stainless steel materials.
• Grind railings, stairs and structural components according to specifications.
• Operate grinders, band saws and other standard ironworker tools.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, Mid-State, and General Contractor regulations.
• Travel to job sites and adapt to various work schedules as needed.
• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds safely.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.

Requirements

• Certified in 3G/4G welding is preferred.
• Proven experience in stick welding (SMAW), particularly with stairs, railings and light structures.
• Proficient in using grinders, band saws, and standard fabrication tools.
• Experience with aluminum and stainless welding preferred.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.
• Familiarity with construction job sites and safety protocols.
• Must be dependable, team-oriented, and flexible with work hours and travel requirements.
