Overview

We are seeking skilled Welder and Fabricators to assemble and weld pre-formed chassis with precision in a manufacturing environment. This position provides a great opportunity to strengthen your personal skills and knowledge with an ever-growing company, Maren Engineering Corporation, an industry-leading recycling baler manufacturer located in South Holland, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform efficient and quality MIG welding of various metal thicknesses.
• Fabricate large horizontal baler chassis and subcomponents as well as related machinery.
• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Use torch and plasma cutter.
• Accurately read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools.
• Perform work with various hand and power tools.
• Maintain and use equipment in a safe manner.
• Set up and adjust MIG welding and cutting equipment.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation is a plus.
• Ability to meet production standards.
• Maintain good attendance record and be able to work overtime as required.
• Maintain good safety record.
• Maintain a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Experienced MIG welder.
• Requires limited supervision to perform tasks assigned.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use tape measure, layout out, and set assemblies.
• Possess good communication skills and an ability to adapt to changing situations.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or relative experience and/or training.

Additional Information

• Starting Rate: $22.00 - $25.00/Hour
• Full Time - 2nd Shift
• $2,500 signing bonus (will be paid over a 12 month period).
• Attendance Bonus.
• 10 Vacation Days (Paid Time Off).
• 9 Holidays.
