Watts is a company dedicated to providing safe, clean water for the world and protecting the planet's resources. The Welder - Combination role involves performing high-quality welding using various techniques on different materials, adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute welding using various techniques including MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored Arc, and Plasma Arc on a range of metals.
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
- Set up welding equipment and prepare materials by cutting, grinding, or cleaning surfaces.
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
- Pass ASME coupon tests and obtain ASME Certified Combination Welder.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a certified welding training program or apprenticeship preferred.
- Ability to weld MIG, TIG, and Stick.
- English comprehension: ability to read, write and communicate.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Ability to use power tools and handle light and average weight parts.
- Ability to work safely.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.
