Overview

Storti Quality is a company known for excellence in inspection, consulting, and construction support services for utilities and contractors. They are hiring a Minor Leak Repair Mechanic responsible for inspection, repair work, integrity tests, and re-light procedures related to gas leaks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inside gas leak calls from service line inspections or natural gas detector installations.
• Perform repairs on jurisdictional pipe as directed by the Client.
• Conduct subsequent integrity tests and relight procedures as directed.
• Issue follow-up repairs and warning tags as necessary.
• Supplement Client operational forces with follow-up inspections for compliance adherence.
• Notify and communicate all corrosion level 3 and 4 issues and AOCs per Client direction.
• Provide referral notifications for construction and gas delivery services for additional work.
• Acquire and replenish required equipment and materials for assigned work.
• Follow all standards for GMI’s regarding proper use, maintenance, and monthly depot.
• Maintain effective relationships with Client operational leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 6 months employment with Storti Quality OR 2 years of Natural Gas meter work experience.
• Must possess Northeast Gas Association (NGA) operator qualifications.
• OSHA 10-30 or HAZWOPER training is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to learn new systems and technology as required by company and client.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows (browser).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to meet project deadlines.

Additional Information

• Hours: Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday schedules available.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Duties are performed primarily in an outdoor setting with exposure to changing weather conditions.
• Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Position requires the ability to climb up and down ladders.
