Overview

BAE Systems is seeking an Electronic Assembler II for their first shift, offering a full-time position in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This role involves assembling electronic components and requires in-person collaboration at the BAE Systems facility.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, and modules using samples, visual aids, prints, wiring lists, and diagrams.
• Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed.
• Performs mechanical assembly operations using standard measuring tools and techniques.
• Conducts electronic assembly operations such as wire termination and installation of electronic components.
• Fabrics wires on a Jig Board according to specifications.
• Prepares wires by routing, dressing, and terminating conductors to specific dimensions.
• Pre-stages circuit card kits and forms components using machine and hand devices.
• Performs masking operations prior to wave soldering or coating of circuit card assemblies.
• Cleans boards per Manufacturing Control Specifications.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• High School/GED education required.
• At least 2 years of electronic assembly experience, preferably in soldering cables and connector assemblies.
• Training or certification in IPC-J-STD-001 required.
• Ability to interpret and understand instructions on process sheets, prints, or route cards.
• Proficient in using hand tools such as cutters, pliers, and screwdrivers.
• Ability to identify electronic components and orient them correctly on a circuit board.
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as scales, micrometers, and calipers.

Additional Information

• This position is full-time and performed onsite 100% of the time.
• The work schedule is first shift with a 9/80 schedule, providing every other Friday off.
