Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position at Valcor involves performing maintenance work on machine tools, plant equipment, and buildings with minimal supervision. Candidates should have experience in mechanical repair, plumbing, and electrical installations, and be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work on machine tools, plant equipment, and buildings.
• Work from written instructions, including manuals, drawings, sketches, and schematics.
• Perform general maintenance tasks associated with plumbing, light carpentry, and facility maintenance.
• Assist in snow removal and moving or rearranging furniture.
• Drive company vehicles for various tasks including picking up or delivering parts and materials.
• Maintain work logs, inventory, and preventive maintenance records.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices.
• Arrive to work and meetings on time.
• Interact with team members and other departments professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or Associates degree.
• Related work experience in mechanical repair, plumbing, and electrical installation and repair.
• 5-7 years of experience in a production or job shop environment.
• At least 5 years of related experience in building and equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a licensed Black Seal Boiler Mechanic.
