The Facilities Mechanic will focus on routine maintenance and ensuring safety regulations are met at the organization's testing center in Yonkers, New York.

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance tasks
• Repairing equipment, machinery, and buildings
• Responding to on-demand and timely staff requests, event setups, and emergency calls
• Complying with safety regulations and assisting with facility inspections
• Handling inventory management
• Overseeing emergency evacuations of staff during fire or safety events
• Repairing and installing furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Upkeeping grounds and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance or a similar role
• Knowledge of buildings, machinery, and equipment
• Basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical skills
• Self-motivated and a problem solver
• Ability to build and maintain relationships
