Overview
As a Ground Maintenance Mechanic (GMM) in a motorized role at Delta Air Lines, you will be part of the Ground Support Equipment team, responsible for performing maintenance functions on industrial powered systems. This position requires a minimum of 6 months of experience in vehicle/heavy equipment maintenance and knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields.
Responsibilities
- Apply appropriate tooling, equipment, and material to accomplish minor maintenance functions including inspections and minor troubleshooting.
- Assist a Lead Ground Maintenance Technician or a Ground Maintenance Technician on motorized equipment as needed.
- Complete data entry to record work assignments and connect with other Company personnel as needed.
Requirements

- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Be proficient in English.
- Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to determine ability to perform required tasks.

- External Applicants Only – Ground Maintenance Mechanic (Motorized) hired to work at the LGA airport receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
- Eligible Delta employees based in New York City (JFK or LGA) can be reimbursed up to $250 per month for specific transportation expenses.
