Overview
LRS is the industry leader in providing innovative and environmentally responsible waste and recycling solutions. They are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.
- Interprets work orders and technical manuals.
- Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
- Diagnoses faults or malfunctions.
- Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems.
- Obeys all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules.
- Undertakes the training and assessment required under the training plan.
Requirements
- ASE certifications are a plus.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
- Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Needs excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Waste industry experience is a plus.
- Completion of college or vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations is required.
- A valid CDL driver license is a plus.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
