Overview

The Wind Turbine Technician will climb and service utility-scale wind turbines across an offshore array, performing various maintenance tasks and troubleshooting issues. This role requires working at heights and in changing weather conditions, ensuring the turbines operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Climb and service utility-scale wind turbines across an offshore array.
  • Perform scheduled gearbox inspections.
  • Conduct blade pitch calibration.
  • Lubricate yaw drives.
  • Maintain hydraulic brakes at height.
  • Troubleshoot pitch and converter faults from the nacelle.
  • Torque foundation bolts to specification.
  • Replace worn slip rings and filters.
  • Document every work order in the asset management system.
  • Coordinate lifts and isolations with the control room.

Requirements

  • GWO Working at Heights certification.
  • GWO Sea Survival certification.
  • Rope-access proficiency.
  • Offshore medical clearance.
  • Comfort working ninety meters above open water in changing weather.
