Overview
Team Gilbert is seeking a part-time Parks Mechanic who is innovative, driven, and passionate about serving the community. The role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various parks equipment while ensuring safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of parks equipment.
- Conduct inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Assist with welding, fabrication, and basic electrical work.
- Maintain an organized shop and manage parts inventory.
- Respond to service requests in a timely manner.
- Support field staff with equipment transport and seasonal preparation.
- Document maintenance activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, including welding and fabrication.
- 5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of light duty vehicles.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Knowledge of scheduled, preventative, and mechanical maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical-related problems.
- Understanding of gasoline and diesel-powered engines.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot.
- Experience with gas and arc welding and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage resources.
Additional Information
- Part-time position (20 hours per week), non-benefited.
- Requires ASRS enrollment.
- Anticipated new hire start date: 7/20/26.
