Overview
STS Line Maintenance is hiring Lead A&P Mechanics in Phoenix, Arizona, looking for motivated aircraft maintenance professionals to enhance their line maintenance station. The role requires experienced A&P Mechanics with commercial and large regional aircraft maintenance experience and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Help manage the workforce to ensure all required maintenance needs are met in support of customer requirements.
- Work closely with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
- Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results.
- Follow maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation.
- Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
- Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
- Perform work on B737NG/MAX, A320 family, E145, E170, and E175 aircraft.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License with no history of infractions.
- Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft considered a plus.
- Must own a set of standard line maintenance tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Lead Technician in a line maintenance environment working on commercial and/or large regional aircraft.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working on commercial and large regional aircraft.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Able to perform with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be able to obtain Customs and Border Patrol clearance.
- Must have basic to mid-level computer and organizational skills.
- Experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 Repair Station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
- Inspection Authorization License is a plus.
- Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engines with little supervision.
- Aircraft systems experience should include electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
