Overview

We are currently seeking Welders to join our team at Conexwest. Qualified candidates must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead, and possess the manual dexterity and stability required for precision welding.

Responsibilities

• Plan details of work order procedures and gather required tools and materials based on instructions.
• Repair and fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
• Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to prevent overheating or damage.
• Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces.
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
• Notify supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance, and repair.
• Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools for producing technical plans and blueprints.
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments in various forms.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or a successful three-year in-company training program required.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
