Overview

As a Finishing Technician at Acumed LLC, you will perform various finishing operations on metal and plastic parts while adhering to quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Understand and consistently follow SOPs and WIs to complete required operations on time.
  • Read basic blueprints for anodization and assembly operations.
  • Monitor and maintain the DI water system for anodization.
  • Maintain and help design/develop fixturing as needed for anodization.
  • Maintain high quality standards as measured by NCMRs and other metrics.
  • Support Acumed customer service principles and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Complete assigned finishing projects on time.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and computer transactions.
  • Enter information into manufacturing data gathering system (SAP) and other software.
  • Meet quality, productivity, training, and efficiency goals.
  • Determine materials and tools required for operations.
  • Accurately log time in SAP to reflect true job duration.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental health requirements, including PPE.
  • Promote a safe working environment and maintain a clean work area.
  • Maintain satisfactory regular and timely attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Experience in metal finishing (hand and machine) and media blasting preferred.
  • Experience with machine operation preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Detail-oriented with basic math skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under general supervision in a team environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and honest.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles as required.
  • Ability to write and record data as required by procedures.
  • Comfortable exhibiting a high level of manual dexterity.

Additional Information

  • Shift: First Shift, Monday-Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm.
