Overview

Archer Western, a member of the Walsh Group, is currently seeking a Pipefitter for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids in Jonesboro, GA. The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related portions including metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition, as well as install plumbing fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
• Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Requirements

• 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience in working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
