Overview

Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Group, is currently seeking a Pipefitter Helper for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids in Jonesboro, GA. The Pipefitter Helper will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related portions, providing assistance to other Pipefitters on the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
• Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for the use of tools and machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
