Overview

Classic Collision, established in 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia, aims to provide quality service with integrity and honesty. They are seeking an Auto Body Technician to join their rapidly growing team, focusing on safety, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage.
• Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure by following work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to access damaged areas.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts.
• Ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standards.
• Remove damaged panels and bolts or welds replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety rules, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.
