Overview

Lake Air Products is a fast-growing contract manufacturer serving various markets, including medical and aerospace. They are seeking a weekend shift Welder responsible for joining and fabricating metal components using MIG and TIG welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
• Develop templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examine finished products and spare parts and compare them with samples to check specifications.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using measuring instruments.
• Weld metal using various welding arcs, including gas tungsten arc and plasma arc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (hand laser welding preferred).
• Excellent people skills with the ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission.
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read blueprints and perform all necessary measurements.
