Overview

Under general supervision, the welder/pipe fitter is responsible for assembling and installing piping systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This role involves welding for industrial burners and piping systems ranging from ½" to 12".

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install piping systems and pipe supports.
  • Install hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Weld industrial burners and piping systems.
  • Ensure safe job performance and quality product output.

Requirements

  • Minimum education requirement is HS graduate or GED.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Capable of interpreting blueprints and welding to specifications.
  • Must successfully complete weld tests, including visual and X-ray testing.
  • Qualification in welding per ASME Section IX in at least 3 welding methods.
  • Knowledge of various piping applications.
  • Ability to assemble carbon and stainless weld pipe and screw pipe.
  • Proficient in using associated power tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment.
