Overview
Under general supervision, the welder/pipe fitter is responsible for assembling and installing piping systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This role involves welding for industrial burners and piping systems ranging from ½" to 12".
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install piping systems and pipe supports.
- Install hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Weld industrial burners and piping systems.
- Ensure safe job performance and quality product output.
Requirements
- Minimum education requirement is HS graduate or GED.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Capable of interpreting blueprints and welding to specifications.
- Must successfully complete weld tests, including visual and X-ray testing.
- Qualification in welding per ASME Section IX in at least 3 welding methods.
- Knowledge of various piping applications.
- Ability to assemble carbon and stainless weld pipe and screw pipe.
- Proficient in using associated power tools.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment.
