The Welder role is a full-time, on-site position responsible for interpreting blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and performing welding operations on trailer components.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Set up welding equipment.
• Perform welding operations on trailer components and structural assemblies.
• Prepare materials and fit and align parts.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welds as needed.
• Inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded parts.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain tools and work areas.
• Collaborate with production team members.
• Communicate any issues with materials or drawings.
• Support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in core welding processes, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
• Ability to work with various materials and metal thicknesses.
• Experience reading blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of shop safety practices, including PPE use and safe material handling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, trailer, or metal fabrication environments preferred.
• Welding certification or technical training in welding or metal fabrication is a plus.
• Reliable attendance, teamwork, and effective communication skills required.
