Job Description

Overview

The Welder's primary responsibility is TIG and MIG welding of aluminum and steel parts, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area.

Responsibilities

  • Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials.
  • Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Familiarizes with proper lifting and turning procedures.
  • Operates machinery safely as trained and authorized.
  • Wears required safety equipment at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of MIG welding experience (Required).
  • 2 years of general welding experience (Preferred).
  • 1 year of TIG welding experience (Required).
  • Ability to use a 1-2 lbs. hammer.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform the job in a standing position for a length of shift.
  • Detail oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize and take direction.
  • Ability to speak and read in either English or Spanish.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position with an expected 40 hours per week.
  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
  • Work location is in person.
