Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is a fast-growing, publicly traded company focused on integrity and providing an engaging environment for career growth. The Tig Welder position involves fitting, joining, and repairing metal using appropriate welding techniques according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding duties using a TIG welder.
• Use welding equipment to weld steel components as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
• Work with others to assist in the welding of multi-component parts.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs.
• Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
• Communicate with management for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.
• Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
• Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
• Demonstrated competency in basic shop math, including fraction to decimal conversion skills.

Additional Information

• Working hours are generally from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but may be adjusted as needed to meet production needs.
• Work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing vision and hearing protection and other appropriate protective clothing.
