Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team at Vertiv. This role involves assembling and welding parts to print specifications while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and weld parts and/or frames according to engineering drawings and print specifications.
  • Align, fit, and clamp workpieces using measuring tools, hand tools, fixtures, jigs, or vises.
  • Clean workpieces to remove dirt, oil, rust, or excess material using appropriate tools.
  • Perform MIG and/or TIG welding along adjoining edges of workpieces using appropriate equipment.
  • Grind, cut, buff, bend, or prepare edges of workpieces for proper fit and weld integrity.
  • Inspect completed welds and assemblies for defects and conformance to specifications.
  • Rework defective welds, seams, or broken parts as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following safety policies.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward plant goals related to safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous welding or fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with MIG and/or TIG welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and continuously improve skills.

Additional Information

  • This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and may involve exposure to noise, sparks, heat, and industrial equipment.
