Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, providing equipment for the semiconductor and display industries. The Welder II position involves operating various welding equipment and ensuring high-quality fabrication in a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools.
  • Train Welder I.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Use measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Cut stock for welded assemblies and frame assemblies.
  • Fabricate simple welded assemblies and frame assemblies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and handle tools properly.
  • Conform to departmental safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Proficient in welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Advanced measuring skills using various tools.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks.
  • Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
