Overview
Welders are expected to perform various types of welding under the direction of the area supervisor, including Mig, Aluminum, and TIG welding, to fabricate parts for product assembly. The role requires compliance with safety rules and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Comply with the company/site safety rules.
- Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
- Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
- Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas.
- Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Assist with robotic welder.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues efficiently.
- Proficiently operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Train all welders on processes and applications of advanced welding techniques.
- Inspect welds for proper bonding and quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or Certification.
- Basic welding experience and/or training.
- Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.
- Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.
- 1 year of experience in a production welding environment for Welder II.
- Working towards apprenticeship or certification for Welder II.
- 2 years of experience in a production welding environment for Welder III.
- Experience in root cause problem-solving for Welder III.
- 3 years of experience in advanced welding for Welder IV.
- Welding Certification/Technical Diploma for Welder IV.
- Crane Certification for Welder II.
