Responsibilities

  • Use all tool room equipment and measuring tools.
  • Work unsupervised and make quick decisions.
  • Demonstrate good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot in Press.
  • Understand draw and trim operations and functions.
  • Set up aluminum trim dies including steel entry standards and trap points.
  • Weld and restore tooling to original condition.
  • Troubleshoot surface quality issues and implement corrections.
  • Adapt to change and learn new skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum 5 years' experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing facility.
  • Journeyman certification preferred.
  • General knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools.
  • Computer knowledge and familiarity with CNC or EDM and Tig welding preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in automation.
  • Minimum 4 years of Tool & Die background in a manufacturing environment.
