Responsibilities
- Use all tool room equipment and measuring tools.
- Work unsupervised and make quick decisions.
- Demonstrate good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Problem solve and troubleshoot in Press.
- Understand draw and trim operations and functions.
- Set up aluminum trim dies including steel entry standards and trap points.
- Weld and restore tooling to original condition.
- Troubleshoot surface quality issues and implement corrections.
- Adapt to change and learn new skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum 5 years' experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing facility.
- Journeyman certification preferred.
- General knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools.
- Computer knowledge and familiarity with CNC or EDM and Tig welding preferred.
- Basic knowledge in automation.
- Minimum 4 years of Tool & Die background in a manufacturing environment.
