Responsibilities

• Perform component diagnostic replacement and repairs on various equipment.
• Conduct mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance.
• Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair.
• Perform welding (Stick, Tig).
• Train and mentor other employees.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Act as a Fill-in Supervisor as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Two years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts or a combination of education and experience.
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required.
• Ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while achieving a 35% score on a written assessment.
• Must demonstrate proficient basic welding skills.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments and safety standards.
• Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints.
• Time management skills.
