Overview

The Welder position involves reading and interpreting project plans and performing various types of welding on metals while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Signal Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and utilizes E-Verify.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on various metals.
  • Ensure work is done safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder.
  • Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Must pass a welding test.

Additional Information

  • This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions.
  • Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
  • This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
  • The ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time.
