Overview
Targa Resources’ Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall proper function of mechanical equipment including engines, natural gas compressors, and pumps. Responsibilities
- Perform top-end and major maintenance on engines and related components based on manufacturer recommendations.
- Inspect vehicle work, spill prevention and countermeasure, fire, transformers, engines hours, tank levels, and filter changes.
- Perform routine startup/shutdown of field equipment such as pumps, compressors, and heaters.
- Complete applicable work/hot work permits and lockout/tagout documentation.
- Create and complete work orders in Maximo.
- Order parts and manage inventory assigned for work completion.
- Learn and understand Targa’s Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Focus on optimization of the stations and units by reviewing compressor dashboard and unit loading.
- Plan and perform all assignments in a safe manner using proper tools and safety precautions.
- Collaborate with other departments for construction support and commissioning of new stations and units.
- Assist with training new technicians and handle environmental compliance tasks.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and perform general maintenance and housekeeping.
- Utilize the TRUCE app for safe mobile device usage in hazardous environments.
- Field callouts alarms as needed.
- Be proficient in the use of tools including hydraulic torque wrenches and precision tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
