Overview

The Welder position involves assembling and welding parts and frames to specifications while ensuring quality through self-inspection. The role emphasizes adherence to Vertiv's values and behaviors, promoting a culture of ownership, collaboration, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and weld parts and/or frames to print specifications and self-inspect finished product.
• Align and clamp workpieces together using rules, squares, or hand tools.
• Clean workpieces to remove dirt or excess acid using chemical solutions, files, wire brushes, or grinders.
• MIG or TIG weld adjoining edges of workpieces using appropriate equipment.
• Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to ensure snug fit using power grinders and hand tools.
• Examine seams for defects and rework defective joints or broken parts.
