Overview

The Mig Welder / Fabricator will weld various metals and fabricate manufactured parts to complete production processes. The position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Use standard industry tools and machinery.
  • Have knowledge of material types and gauge thickness.
  • Prepare product for the next step in the production process by checking for defects.
  • Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions.
  • Perform all essential functions within quality requirements.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all required safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of MIG welding experience on aluminum or stainless.
  • Welding certificate preferred.
  • Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses.
  • Ability to follow established SOPs and Work Instructions.
  • Must know simple math and decimal to fraction conversions.
  • Ability to set up machine as required.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be able to read a tape measurer.
  • Must be detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.
  • Ability to complete required paperwork accurately.

Additional Information

  • 3rd Shift position.
  • Prolonged periods of standing are required.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
