Overview

Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is seeking an experienced ASME Welder to fabricate large pressure vessels and piping systems that support critical air and water purification solutions. This role offers challenging work that emphasizes code-quality welds and complex fabrication rather than repetitive production welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASME code welding on pressure vessels, piping, and structural components
• Weld using FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and weld procedures
• Complete ASME weld logs and quality documentation
• Pass non-destructive testing (NDT) for pressure-retaining welds
• Use overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts safely
• Inspect and repair welds to meet code and quality standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience welding pressure vessels or pipe (FCAW required)
• High school diploma or trade school certification (welding preferred)
• Ability to pass on-site weld qualification testing
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and documentation
