Responsibilities

• Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance.
• Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes.
• Prepares parts or materials to be welded and performs appropriate welding.
• Works in an orderly fashion, looking for improvements in work methods and safety standards.
• Researches repair needs and orders parts as necessary.
• Completes required documentation for repairs performed on equipment.
• Maintains a positive attitude and supports team efforts.
• Assists with maintaining facility appearance and shop conditions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6 months or less of relevant experience.
• Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively.
• Completed required training curriculum to be designated a Service Welder III.
• Thorough knowledge of safety requirements for welding and cutting.
• Proficiency in using a computer and relevant software is highly desired.
• 3g and 4G SMAW & FCAW certifications are preferred.

Additional Information

• Work is typically performed during regular business hours with occasional requirements to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Job has no supervisory responsibility.
