Overview
The Mig Weld Operator is responsible for welding parts together using a welder, ensuring quality through inspection and measurement. The role requires proficiency in communication, adherence to safety procedures, and maintenance of welding equipment.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety and environmental procedures.
- Come to work every day, on time as scheduled.
- Use quality tools to ensure parts meet standards.
- Enter part information and inventory in the ERP system.
- Load, setup, and operate Mig welding equipment.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair on the Mig welder.
- Examine welds during the welding process and make necessary adjustments.
- Execute scheduling board.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to use motorized walking stacker.
- Ability to operate cranes and overhead hoists.
- Ability to use quality inspection equipment.
- Proficient in basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to pass eye exam.
