Overview

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking experienced welders for the position of Welder - Fabricator II, where employees will engage in Mig and Tig welding of various components and general fabrication. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, Regulations and Guidelines.
• Weld per AWS D1.1 or ASME Sec.9 B31.3 standards.
• Clean welds including cutting and repairing unacceptable welds.
• Ensure that welding procedures have been followed and quality has not been compromised.
• Take feedback on work and correct any issues.
• Maintain a job log.

Requirements

• Must have experience with GMAW (Mig) and/or GTAW (Tig) welding.
• Must hold or be willing to certify on specified welding methods.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with shop floor procedures is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

• This position requires working onsite five days a week.
